300mm CHASSIS EXTENSION

Rather than offering multiple extension lengths, we focus on a single, proven solution that allows the chassis to be extended correctly, maintaining proper weight distribution and structural integrity. 

The result is a vehicle that tows, carries and drives the way it should, both now and long into the future.

Extending the wheelbase by 300mm allows for:

  • Improved load-carrying capacity through better weight balance
  • Increased towing stability and control
  • More usable space for trays or canopies
  • Improved ride comfort on-road and off-road
  • Reduced stress on the chassis, driveline and suspension for long-term longevity

The 300mm extension isn’t about adding length for the sake of it. It’s about building a chassis that’s balanced, durable and fit for real touring, towing and work use.

79 Series Chassis Extensions – Regulatory Update

Due to recent changes in Australian Euro 6 emissions regulations, Toyota is currently unable to sell new, unregistered 79 Series vehicles in Australia in the same way as before.

As the original vehicle manufacturer, Toyota must make further changes to the vehicle to meet these updated regulations before new vehicles can be sold and before pre-registration chassis extensions can resume on the 79 Series.

As a second-stage vehicle manufacturer, we are still able to carry out chassis extensions on vehicles that are already registered, also referred to as post-registration or in-service vehicles.

For post-registration vehicles, all modifications are required to comply with your state or territory’s Gross Combination Mass (GCM) regulations. These rules vary depending on where the vehicle is registered.
